Chapter Governance
Chapter Officers The chapter officers are members of the board who have specific responsibilities defined by the national organization, the chapter bylaws, and the laws that govern non-profit organizations. The officers are elected annually by the extended board.

Board Members
Board members are elected to serve two year terms by the membership at large. 50% of the board is elected in the General Meeting we are required to hold in December of the entire membership for this purpose.
Every January, the extended board, consisting of the incoming and outgoing board members, elect the officers. Board members are the only members who have a vote at the board meeting, with the exception of the President. The President only votes if his vote would either make a tie or break a tie. Any member can come to the board meeting, participate in discussion, make and second motions, but only the board can vote.
